Search for: [Abstract = "A comparison between different metods of physical training\: the pain\- free treadmill training and pain\- free cycloergometer training in patient with intermittent claudication was the aim of this work. The effect of different training modalities on claudication time \(CT\), quality of life, reological properties \(aggregation and elongation\), atherosclerosis risk factors, antioxidative activity \(FRAP, SOD, CAT\), markers of inflammation \(white blood count, neutrophils, fibrinogen, CRP\), proinflammatory cytokines \(endothelin, TNF\- alpha, IL 1 beta\), and a percentage contain of fatty acids in erythrocyte cellular membranes and plasma were examined. After 12 weeks of the training CT rised in the treadmill group \(p=0,000003\), and in the cycloergometer group \(p=0,00001\). The difference between both methods was not significant. Pain free training was not followed by inflammatory reaction. The effects of the exercise training on most of the examined parameters were beneficial and comparable between both group. Presented results indicate that the pain \- free training with the cycloergometer may be the alternative training modality to the pain free treadmill training in patient with intermittent claudication."]
