Failure to obtain a tight VUA may affect UC and an increased risk of perioperative and postoperative complications. The aim of the first study was to evaluate the quality of the modified technique of vesicourethral anastomosis using a continuous suture in terms of early and late complications and urinary continence in patients who underwent laparoscopic radical prostatectomy in 2013\-2014. The aim of the next study was to compare three different types of vesicourethral anastomosis using Van Velthoven suture, own modification of the continuous suture and V\-Loc suture in patients operated in 2014\-2018. The incidence of complications and the recovery time of urinary continence 12 and 18 months after the operation were assessed. The third study compared long\-term functional outcomes in patients with bladder neck preservation and maximal distal urethral preservation during laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. The incidence of intraoperative and postoperative complications was compared and the risk of positive surgical margins \(PSM\) was assessed in the groups with and without bladder neck and distal urethral preservation.."]
